Healing through relationship is a fundamental part of being human and is at the foundation of how I practice therapy. My approach is compassionate, thoughtful, and direct. Through our time together, my hope is to support you in becoming more deeply connected to who it is that you want to be in this world. Emotional wounding, abuse, trauma, loss, oppression, and many other hardships can create a sense of depletion, overwhelm, or never-ending anxiety. This often results in a limitation of life, difficulty in creating satisfying connections with others, and a sense that things will never change.
Psychotherapy can offer an incredible opportunity to grow and be in a more honest connection with yourself and those around you. Some of the growth in therapy is quick and immediate. However, much of the lasting growth happens slowly, over time, through taking the risk to deepen your relationship with yourself and others. It happens by listening closely to what your psyche, heart, soul, and body tell you, and then surrendering to who you are, or who you are becoming.
I like working with people who are emotionally courageous and willing to open up to themselves in ways that can at times be uncomfortable or challenging. I work best with people who are passionate about healing and ready to turn insight from feedback and self reflection into lasting change. Many of the people who I work with are drawn to a lifestyle that is inspired by creativity, passion, politics, and deeper spiritual questions around life purpose. You may be a healer, a teacher, an artist, a political activist, or simply a person who wants to engage more deeply with creating a life that feels relevant to you, regardless of the norms of society.
